Although not totally anti-social, much of Bones' time was spent with droids and computers so he has sort of a loner complex and rarely talks to people he doesn't trust. This has led to an affinity with droids and since receiving numerous bionic parts in his body he sometimes feels closer to machines than he does people. Bones has a bit of a reputation among those he knows as an oddball, but he doesn't mind the fact that he has few friends if any that he'll regularly speak with. Trust is a big issue with Bones because of his father drilling it into his head that everyone in the galaxy was never to be trusted, but despite this Bones had managed to bring a few people close enough to him. G0-RE is one of them, Bones' father was another. Bones finds it hard to connect with people because of his tentativeness which may be a cause of his somewhat anti-sociable nature or maybe it's the paranoia his father pushed on him. Bones feels that droids are truly the only truly trustworthy persons (he feels they are equivalent to people) because they could never betray their creators and display more loyalty than any other being. In general Bones is an extremely intelligent person, cunning and crafty (he would have to be to perform the miracle repairs he has in the past), but as well he has a strong mental capacity. Gifted with working with machines since they've been around him his entire life, he also is good with understanding languages. Instead of approaching people and talking with them; Bones watched sentients as he grew up in a repair shop giving him a good bit of insight on body language and facial expressions which certainly helps when dealing with someone speaking another language. Bones considers himself special, so special in fact he decided the technical academy he attended wasn't worth his time and dropped out during the first year since he thought most of the knowledge one could possibly accumulate was less than he already knew. A man with a generally weak personality Bones has found several addiction in his travels including spice sticks which he smokes regularly and numerous alcoholic drinks such as Alderaanian Ruge and Corellian ale. Punishing his body never seemed to bother Bones and he has recently defeated an addiction to gllyterstym. He rarely looks clean, usually growing his stubble for days before trimming it and is almost always covering in something or other whether it be oil or other fluids from the ship or food because of his sloppy eating habits. This might be his own form of punishment or guilt or even just sadness, but he often brushes it off with smile saying he likes his life style, but in truth he's got a great deal of emotional stress built up. His addictions to various alcoholics and mind-altering drugs might be an outlet for his emotional withdraw. Bending the law was never a problem for Bones in fact he's done so alone on many occasions, theft of parts and tools once helped Bones make a living fixing things. So a smuggler's life is one that fits him quite well, but there are probably a few other shady types he wouldn't mind working for either. Generally irritated by having to constantly fix broken or neglected droids and other machines; Bones comes off as grumpy and short tempered to most other sentients, but holds no ill will against them he's just got a certain way of expressing what little emotion he does vent. He's a fairly acceptable person with no problems with aliens except for Barabels, but with good reason. Some might say the Firrerreo is a bit of an arrogant man when it comes to mechanics, dropping out of school was a prime example, but another would be pushing someone out the way so he could get the job done quicker. This may not be arrogance as it is efficiency, but either way it does seem to bother people. Bones isn't a bad person, far from it. Mostly he keeps to himself. But he does have limits and certain things do come off as bad even to him. Not typically brave if it came down to it however Bones would be there to help defend himself or some else that needed it.

The only child born to a Firrerreo shop owner named Graem Darly; Bones was a child of a short relationship that lasted only the time it took for Bones to be born. Graem wasn't exactly poor, but only scraped by enough to support himself and his human wife (although it was a very short marriage) so the entrance of Bones proved to be a problem until the mother decided she needed more and left home very soon after Bones' birth. This is one of the reason's Graem pushed distrust of other people so strongly on Bones because if the woman he loved would betray you than anyone could and most likely would. Graem owned a shop on Corellia and sold anything from droids to weapons, but rarely saw customers due to larger stores and better selections. This never dampened the owner's spirit he only worked that much harder to provide a living for his only child and what he considered his legacy. And he couldn't have been more right. Graem's son is a reflection of himself; the hard working ethic, their closeness to machines, and especially -- mostly due to Graem -- they had a similar feeling toward trusting others. Though not totally Firrerreo the boy had an uncanny likeness in facial features and build. A child of Corellia Bones would earn that hard nosed, stubborn personality that most Corellians share. Though his mother left early, Bones could remember a lot about her. He remembers a sweet woman, but his father used to laugh when Bones would bring up that she was always so kind in his eyes. As a child Graem didn't teach Bones to hate his mother, or anyone for that matter, just to be distrustful of anyone he didn't know basically for a long period of time. Some times this made growing up a little tough for the young Firrerreo mix because when friends would try to get close he would only push them away often causing problems like fights and bullying for Bones. Which only added to his distrust of sentients and sent him running to droids for companionship. And he found one in his father's hand restored droid G0-RE, or as he would come to know him: G0-RE. A young man studying the finer points of mechanics on Corellia, Bones would for a time boost his father's sales. Being able to repair broken machines with sometimes the sparest of parts. Just before hitting his teenage years he would break into the larger shops that had given Graem so much trouble and steal tools and parts to make the profits even greater for his father. Seeing as Graem was the only sentient he was close too he was willing to go to great lengths to please him. It seemed that in addition to mechanics the boy was quite the good splicer and managed to crack into a few security systems before he got too greedy and was caught. The shop owner had been lying in wait after several lefts in the same month (usually Bones would rotate and never return to the same place more than twice in a month but he had become too familiar with the security systems and hacking in was an easy fix at this point) and was tired of losing parts and repair kits. So with blaster in hand he waited for the thief to arrive and as soon as the Twi'lek shop owner caught a glimpse of the boy he fired and cut down the young man with a shot to the right shoulder. When authorities arrived and realized the rash of recent theft was from a boy they patched him up with bacta and turned him over to juvenile courts. The courts wanted to go easy on Bones, Graem pleaded with the judge and he was granted probation. But Bones' capture came at great cost to Graem and his shop. The less than reputable shop owners came to claim what they had said was stolen and managed to take almost everything even if it didn't originally belong to them. Graem sold the shop and what was left and put away the money for Bones to have the future that he never had. Bones and Graem went to work together as mechanics at a larger shop outside of where they lived to make ends meet. But it wasn't long before they no longer could support each other. But Graem would not touch the fund he had put away for his son. Instead he worked that much harder scraping by extra money by working for most hours of the day. Bones watched as his father withered away, having had a son so late in his life already spending his retirement years working was a toll on the Firrerreo's body. When his father's body could no longer handle his worker's spirit he died. While on his death bed Graem couldn't help, but be sorrowful and apologetic for not giving Bones the life he though he deserved. As a teenager he wouldn't cope well with the death of his father and it resulted in much of the addiction he suffers from today. With only Gore left in his life, Bones sold his home on Corellia took the money his father had put away for him and left Corellia despite reservations on leaving his homeworld. He bartered passage and made way for Nar Shaddaa.During his travel to Nar Shaddaa, a Zeltros woman that was aboard the ship took a liking to Bones and they shared an intimate moment perhaps out of her pity for Bones' story or maybe because of something more. But she too went her own way once they docked on the Smuggler's Moon. Bones went for a few drinks the moment he landed and after passing out in the gutter, the next day he found work at a repair shop just by the docks. He worked mostly on swoops and speeder bikes, repairing and outfitting new parts, but also got to try his hand at ships and the repair thereof. But watching the head mechanic he was able to learn a great deal of hyperdrive systems and the inner workings of many ships. But tragedy struck when Bones was severely beaten by a Barabel at a local cantina in a drunken rage the massive alien had attacked Bones, nearly killing him. He spent a few days nursing his wounds with bacta following this assault. As he entered his twenties he became quite versed in the repairs of ships and decided that he would maybe make a future for himself as his father planned by attending a technical academy. So with wide-eyes he made the journey off world once more this time to a much closer Malastare. Classes were mostly lectures and hands on tutorials were boring things Bones had done a thousand times. Most of the students around him were novices, sentients that hadn't repaired even a chronodial in their life and were now looking to be part of a fine group of mechanics. Bones was severely disappointed. But there was one upside, that being Malastare reminded him so much of his homeworld of Corellia that he thought it worth staying for the first year. During that first year he spent a lot of time skipping classes to work mostly on droids this time. It had been a long while since he'd repaired droids, but he found the ropes once more after a few weeks working in a scrap yard putting together remotes and other simple bots and half-way completed droids. But by the time the second year for school had come around he was short on money and couldn't support school much longer anyways so he dropped out, but not because of his monetary situation, but rather because of his cockiness that he already knew what one could acquire in the academy. So spare on credits he returned to Nar Shaddaa. Returning to Nar Shaddaa might have proved to be a mistake however. In his first week there he found a job at a shop repairing droids just in the old refugee sector where he also found cheap housing. But while fixing the damaged shell of a remote it activated it's self destruct and exploded just a foot away from Bones. Trying to protect himself by holding out his hand from the wrist up he lost his hand and shrapnel took his eye as well as his lung. And he was burned horribly along his left side and part of his back. But thanks to the quick action of the Umbaran shop owner his life was able to be spared. This came as much disappointment to Bones who would have enjoyed being with his father. His prosthetic replacements however brought him closer to machines. And although he'd gone through numerous shop owners and bosses in his time, Bones never grew closer to any as he did the Umbaran. To show his gratitude he worked for the Umbaran overtime without pay since it was he who had saved Bones' life. But despite being alive Bones fell into depression and became a victim of gllyterstym. His health deteriorating and his work lackluster the gllyterstym was slowly claiming him as it did its other victims. But when Gore played a message from his father's journal detailing his joy of his son's birth the Corellian native; Bones was inspired to kick this habit. Although no longer working for the Umbaran, the alien helped Bones to rehabilitate and went cold turkey while locked in the basement of the repair shop. The Umbaran brought him food and medicines that would help him kick his addiction. It proved to be enough and after a few months, he was fully free of gllyterstym, but had found spice sticks to replace them. Although not as addicting and destructive as gllyterstym, the spice sticks could prove overtime to be the cause of Bones' death some day.The days seemed to draw on as he worked for the Umbaran, after selling his shop the Umbaran retired probably to some nice apartment on Nar Shaddaa's upper-levels and Bones found work elsewhere doing what he does best. ![]()
