From An Evolution in RP :: Database
 The Bio Approval Committee (commonly called BAC) is responsible for reviewing every character biography submitted for use in Evolution. The BAC analyzes the character depicted in each biography to see that it fits into the non-canon Evolution universe, as well as that all guidelines of submission are followed and that the writing itself is of a reasonable standard and quality. If one or more of these criteria are not met, the BAC will attempt to come up with a possible solution or workaround for a given problem before relaying the particular issues and suggested fixes to the player.
Cases in which the BAC feels that the character has severe issues, they may opt to request a complete removal of the problem points; however, this is normally reserved for when no reasonable workaround or solution is considered able to resolve those points. In general, only completely out-of-the-world, ludicrous characters, characters who do not meet a required rule or players who are hostile and argumentative towards the BAC's recommendations result in a denied application. The BAC's job is not to hassle or insult, but rather to help maintain Evolution's diverse cast at a consistently high quality as well as helping a new member find a place in SWE's unique galaxy.
All the members of the Bio Approval Committee are encouraged to remain anonymous; nevertheless, if an Evolutionary would like to speak with the BAC on a private level regarding his/her application or the application process, he/she is encouraged to send a PM to the representative face of the Committee, G-3P0.
If you are interested in joining the BAC, you must be an active member of good standing for at least one year, and contact one of the Directors. Please only apply to this team if you're willing to sacrifice the time and effort into reading, judging and approving each character biography posted. |
