The SWERPAs are the Star Wars Evolution Role Play Awards. You may nominate by pressing the SWERPA button at the top of a post or you can PM the SWERPA account. The awards are given every three months in the following categories:

RP Awards
- Best Bad Guy Maybe it’s her deceit, or maybe it’s his boldness and cruelty, maybe it’s the evil orders he gives out, or maybe it’s all about the way the orders are carried out. From among the villainous ranks of the Empire and the Sith, who did the best job of being bad this quarter? [Note: Eligibility for this award requires five IC posts in GAL during the quarter]
- Best Good Guy Maybe it’s the way he cares about the Universe enough to try to make things better, or maybe it’s her empathy, or maybe it’s how he rolls up his sleeve to help out, or maybe it’s about the sacrifices one makes. From among the ranks of the Rebellion and the Jedi, who did the best job of being good this quarter? [Note: Eligibility for this award requires five IC posts in GAL during the quarter]
- Best Unaffiliated Hunters, smugglers, criminals, performers, and maybe the occasional hitchhiker through the galaxy. Who did the best at whatever it is they do this quarter, while remaining unaligned in the Rebel-Empire conflict? [Note: Eligibility for this award requires five IC posts in GAL during the quarter]
- Best NPC Not every award is for a character. NPC’s fill our literary world and can give it greater depth, as well as a few surprises. So what NPC was your favorite this quarter, as they helped shape posts and stories? [Note: NPCs that stand alone as well as NPCs attached to characters are eligible for this award]
- Best Role Player There is so much talent at SWE, but for the quarter, who’s writing simply blew you away? [Note: You can take into account multiple characters played by the same person, it’s for a person not a character]
- Best Post What single post was the most amazing of all the posts this quarter?
- Funniest Post What post made you laugh, or at least made you crack a smile?
- Most Dramatic Post What post was the most emotionally powerful and gripping?
- Best Interaction What interaction was the most fun to read, whether it be romantic, hostile or anything other kind of interaction? [Note: Interactions between two to five characters are eligible for this award, NOT all characters in a thread—if you wish to nominate a whole thread do so in Best Scenario]
- Best Confrontation or Death What conflict overshadowed the others with the writing involved, whether or not someone died as a result?
- Best Imagery What character’s writing painted pictures in your mind and involved your senses in the reading process?
- Best Scenario What scenario had the best story and writing along the way? What scenario was the best to read?
- Best GRP Scenario What GRP scenario made for the best reading?
Non-RP Awards
- Best Original Artwork (Signature/Banner/Scenario Poster) What signature or banner was the best visual art this quarter? [Note: Only art made this quarter is eligible for this award ]
- The Hall of Fame What character constantly presents quality, well written posts that have great impact on the story that SWE is trying to tell through the eyes of a character that is original and unique? [Note: Characters are required to have been active in the GaL for at least one year before being eligible for nomination.]
- Breakout Member What new member stood out this quarter? Who took off running? [Note: Only members who have been here for less than 120 days are eligible for this award]
- Best Database Page What is your favorite page in the database this quarter, whether it’s a character page, a page for an organization or something else? [Note: Only pages edited or made during the quarter are eligible for this award]
- Best Journal What journal was your favorite to read this quarter?
