Character Creation Tutorial
Name
Remember that your character name does not, in any way, have to be normal. Alien races will have possibly very unusual names, some more pronounceable than others. Creativity matters so please no Mary's or Bobs. This is not to say you cannot have a normal name. You can take inspiration from existing characters; however we do not wish to see any Luke Windwalkers or Leia Organia's. There is also a few really good name generators that will help you. If after that you still find yourself stuck, you could contact a member of staff or another player and I’m sure they will all be very happy to help you.

In game relations
Here you can include anyone your character would consider family or is really close to. Mom, Dad, Siblings, Master, Apprentice, spouse etc. You can also include pictures and any further information if you desire. Please do not include your friends or people you interact with over the course of a scenario, they are not relations.
Age
The age of your character determines their experience. For example a 12 year old could not be a Jedi Knight. I would suggest that if you wanted your character to be a Knight, then they should be at least mid 20's and for a master mid 30's. Different races would have different maturity rates; check out the stats on each for the relevant information.
Race/Racial Characteristics
We all know and love the human race, however diversity is something that we would like. Perhaps you would consider one of the other races that can be seen in the SW universe? I personally would like to see a Twi'lek or two (If you don’t know what that is, think Aayla Secura) or perhaps one of the other more exotic humanoids. The possibilities are endless. Also you can include where your character was born and write a short description of that planet. Was it a large or small City, Does you character still like it there, how advanced was it, what languages and races are present there, was it a safe and conformable place to live, will your character miss that place and why they left.
Character Avatar
It is always a good idea to pick your celebrity face before writing the appearance. This section is only applicable if you intend to have a person representing your character in a signature or avatar. However no two people can have the same Celebrity, so be sure to check on availability in the in the Character Avatar Listing.
Appearance
It sure you don’t need too much help with this section, however here are a few details you might want to consider: height, weight, hair color, eye color, skin tone, muscle tone, build, distinguishing features, clothing.
Personality
A few ideas that you might wish to comment upon: Likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, how they react to people they know, how they react to people they don’t know, what they are naturally like (calm, dependable, hyper, laid back, devoted, spontaneous, brave etc) how they react to new situations, main interests, what they are good at, any thing that happened in their lives that changed them, how their upbringing influenced them, how they act around authority figures, plans for the future, hopes and wishes etc.
Background
Start with your characters birth. Where were they born, and to whom were they born? What did their parents do for a living, and what sort of upbringing did that career path afford them as a child? Were they witness any important events either as a child or later on in life?
If the character is a Jedi or Sith, when were they recognized to be force sensitive? When were they trained, who trained them, was their training easy or hard, what did they excel at, what were they not so good at, how did they progress up the ladder? What sort of missions did they go on both as a student and as a Master if they achieved such a level?
These are just a few ideas, but they might help you flesh out the basis of the character you are creating.
Belongings
This section is where you may list anything that your character owns. We do not want a huge list, but just the main stuff and a description if you want. These include: Light sabers, ships, droids, land speeders, air-speeders etc. Pictures are a nice addition.
Sample Post
If applying for a Jedi character it is preferable to us that you either write a sample for your character or provide us with a sample of your posting as a Jedi (no links, please). This is your chance to really impress us with your skills. Make the post as interesting as possible, using speech and as much detail as you can. We require you to write at least 2 paragraphs (10 sentences in each) the more the better.
