Biography

Childhood

Delova grew up her first decade on Wroona before her parents decided to travel with their family (her and her two other siblings) to the Core. Being the middle child, Delova found herself constantly between her older sister and youngest brother. Though none in their family were force sensitive, her parents followed the Baran Do religion. Baran Do philosophy and methodology centered on finding inner peace and calm, and growing closer to the Force by heeding it. It was said once in passing her great-great grandfather possessed the gifts of The Force. But no one really knew too much about their genealogical history. The next decade consisted of learning about many different cultures, being educated by her mother, and falling in love. But with every good thing in life, there is always a bad. Five years her senior, her older sister Parnosty disappeared when the family was living on Tatooine. Believed kidnapped, the family searched for years, hopping from one planet to another before loosing hope. Parnosty had been the most outgoing of the three children, and was known for her rebellious nature. But no one ever thought it would be in her to run away. She was attractive in Wroonian standards, and the dreadful thought of slavery was the very topic the family kept from talking about. For many years after that, Delova had horrific nightmares of the things that could’ve happened to her sister.

A Life Begins

Delova had many boyfriends—many because her family, ever nomadic, never truly stayed in one place for very long. Love was fleeting, and it seemed to work for Delova, for she was a rather fickle girl. It wasn’t until she was 23 that she met the man she would eventually marry, Dahc Paldera, also a Wroonian. They met when Delova left her family to return to their home in Wroona, a place they occupied during Wroonian holidays, or during the warm season. She wasn’t visiting for such reasons this time, but more for doing her own soul searching. Living on Wroonia for a few years, Dahc and her developed a close friendship before it eventually developed into something more.
Her and her brother had always kept in touch, only three years a part, they had much in common. He eventually followed in his sisters footsteps, choosing to break away from their parents when he was old enough to support himself.
Having been educated purely by travels and her mother, who was a great teacher in Delova’s perspective, Delova oddly enough didn’t find it hard to get a job. Working in one of Wroonians most prominent museums, Delova stayed there for half a decade before Dahc finally asked her to marry him. At 28 she and Dahc decided to follow their passions together, traveling through the galaxy to rediscover planets they might’ve once lived or visited on during childhood. But some were new to both of them.
Two years later they found themselves expecting their first child. Currently traveling with a group to the Tapani sector, the first thing on their list once they arrived was to see a doctor. Surprised to hear they were reaching the second trimester already, Dahc insisted they dwell awhile on the planet they eventually settled into, Kamper of the Calipsa Province. Saying their farewells to their traveling party, the couple rented a small house in the upper North side of the capital city of Kamper.
Months later they were horrified to become part of a civil skirmish between the Houses of Tapani. Grounded from leaving, Dahc and a very pregnant Delova left their home, as their neighborhood had quickly become invaded, fleeing to a group of friends they had met soon after moving in. The group fled to the outer districts where the military was sparse for the moment. Keeping shelter in an old abandoned building, the group of eleven became like family. Giving birth to her first child in such circumstances was horrifying for Delova, especially since no one there was gifted in the medical field. But Dahc would not give up hope, enlisting the help of all 9 friends to deliver the baby. 14 hours later, their first born child, Dreena Paldera was born. 2 hours after that an shouting occurred too close to their refuge.
What followed was later relayed to Delova because she was half out of it for a few weeks. Soldiers from the House Calipsa had retreated to the same abandoned house, fighting against their opponents. Being the soldiers that they were, Dahc and Delova, along with their new born, were kept safe until able to be transported to the safest place until the battle was over: The Command Center. Luckily, the Kamper citizens were very benign to the Wroonian couple, aiding in medical attention the best they could. The new family did their best to stay out of the way, kept close to themselves, and Delova was ever protective of her new born child, albeit very week and in poor condition after such strenuous labor.
Every moment on that planet was intense. Both Dahc and Delova were stressed beyond belief, especially now that they had a baby to take responsibility for. Such experience forced the two to reconsider their situation. After the skirmish between the houses settled, the couple promptly left the Tapani Sector, Delova never having returned back.
They moved back to Wroonia, which seemed the proper thing to do anyway. They had a new baby to introduce to the family! Reconnecting with her parents, and Dahc his, along with telling her brother all the stories and encounters she had since last she saw him, the new family remained peaceful on Wroona for many years to come. Their second born followed two years later, Krestive, a shy boy who became an extreme introvert despite Delova’s attempts at getting him out there socializing.
Things remained pretty normal for a few more years. Dahc took up a very good paying job. He worked in the Executive office of a well to do company that distributed Wroonian clothing. Delova was pregnant once again, when fatal news reached them. Her father was dying of Zithrom’s Disease. Devastated, being very close to her parents, Delova, Dahc, Dreena and Krestive all moved in with her mother to help take care of Rooza. A few weeks before her third child was born, her father passed. The baby boy was named after her father, and Delova slipped into a very deep depression for months. Dahc, her mother, and even Dreena, now seven, helped take care of Rooza while Delova attempted to collect herself. It was one of the darkest hours of her life. During such a dark hour, a stranger in passing had mentioned another Force religion called Tyia. Desperate to bring herself out of the leech-like depression, Delova delved into books at her local library.
A year and a half later, their last child, Rasha, was born. A shining little gem, the girl held every aspect of her long lost aunt, Parnosty. Oddly, the birth of a new child, especially one with so much spirit, brought Delova back to her normal self. She also gave credit to her recently becoming a Thuwisten, a practitioner of the Tyia faith.
Life was normal again. Delova was now reaching forty. When husband and wife deemed Rasha finally old enough, the family began their travels once again. They lived off of Dahc's earnings and savings. And did a lot of trading. Returning to the Core Worlds, the family tried out Coruscant, the shining jewel of the region. Enjoying the busy life in the planet that never sleeps, the Paldera family stayed for a few years until Rasha, their youngest, was hit by a speeder. She was only nine. Being the glue for her family, Delova kept to herself when falling a part. Staying strong through the funeral arrangements, and the months to follow, she decided for the family it was time they move to a more….humble place.

Surviving Loss

Trying her best to stay positive and not think of the painful loss that chewed away at her inside, Delova took it upon herself to do almost everything. Finding their new location, finding a group to travel with (it was, besides, the best way to travel. Even when at odds with life, nothing like a good lot of people to give you some spirit and optimism), and deciding on Alderaan for their next place to live. It was know for its peacefulness, and at this time in their lives, it is what their family—her family—needed.
Recovering from the loss of their youngest wasn’t easy. Rasha’s death put a great strain on her and Dahc’s relationship, to the point Delova was prayig every day to the Force to give her strength, give their relationship strength, give them wisdom and patience. Dreena, now 18, decided she would live life on her own terms, parting in peace with her parents and leaving Alderaan to start her own traveling. Krestive however, when the time came, decided against following their nomadic traditions, staying with his mother whom he was closest to out of the entire family. Rooza had been closest to Rasha, so her death hit him the hardest out of the siblings. He was never the same.
Seven more years were spent on Alderaan. Dahc once again had put himself into an executive position with a shipping company. He also had a lot of stock from the Wroonian company he'd left, the credits building up. Krestive eventually got his own place, but was still in the same city as his parents. Rooza had left to enlist in the Republic Army, and Dreena was married to a Chiss, Gorbish, with two daughters, Tristelle & Parnosty (named after her Great Aunt). Holidays were saved for family visits, their now very large house on Alderaan big enough for so many guests. Including her mother, and her brother. Dahc and Delova would alternate years spending holidays celebrated by his family, her family, and then invited their families for their holidays (she eventually converted him to Tyia). She was 55, and life wasn’t slowing down. She still had the desire to travel, to see all she hadn’t yet discovered, to meet people she hadn’t yet encountered, to experience life in its fullest spiritual sense. Alderaan was beautiful, peaceful, captivating….but she yearned to be out there in space once more. Having no children left in the house, she easily convinced Dahc to begin their traveling once again.
Bad news hit home once more. Her mother, Listerea, had passed of natural causes. It was her brother who had come personally to tell her the news. Delova knew her mother had had a full life, even if a widow, and the loss was hard but not devastating as her daughter or father had been. It still set back their plans of travels. Neither of them were getting any younger. A year later they finally left Alderaan, heading for the Inner-Rim. They visited several planets in the Orus and Japrael Sectors. The next year consisted of 10 planet visitations. They eventually planned on settling on Denon, when Dahc had a mild heart attack during travel. They were once again with a group of space travelers, who too were experiencing the Inner-Rim. One of them happened to be a physician, and aided Dahc until they could land properly on Denon. Two weeks later he had another heart attack, forcing him to leave this plain of existence. Out of all the deaths Delova had to experience, his was the hardest. The love of her life, her partner, her best friend, the one person she knew the longest alongside her parents. The person she lived with every day, she woke up to every day, she spoke to everyday. They had never been a part. And her first night without him almost convinced her she’d die of a broken heart.
But her faith in Tyia prevailed, and her brother came to live with her on Denon as did Dreena and her family. Eventually, there was a small moment in time when her entire family was back under her roof once again. Krestive, Rooza and his wife, Sasha. They had previously lost their first child prematurely, but a few years later were blessed with Lem. Tristelle and Parnosty, her first two grandchildren, also came to visit, and Delova got to lay eyes on her very first great grandson, Kaden Starkiller. She was wary of the irony that Her granddaughter, named after her sister Parnosty who’d disappeared on Tatooine, married a man from Tatooine. Will Starkiller. He seemed a good mine, either way, and Delova always had so much room in her heart. It was happy times then, and her family helped her get out of her depression from loosing Dahc.
A few years later Delova decided to once again take the galaxy as her own, despite the constant disagreement of her brother and second born, Krestive. The two men, other than Dahc, had always been the most protective of her.

Indentification

Personality

Delova doesn’t consider herself too old to continue her traveling. In awe of the different cultures and society the universe carries, she set off more than 40 (50 years if counting with family as a child) years ago in her travels and has since visited most of the Core Worlds, and the Inner-Rim, where her home planet Wroona is located. Stubborn against her age, Delova insists to her younger brother she can handle the life of a traveler. But on other days, her age has caught up with her, leaving her fighting to stay positive she indeed can do it.
Like most Wroonians, Delova lives up to their name. Fun loving, spiritual, she also possesses the ability to become a mediator. This stems from being the middle child. Because she’s seen and done many things: witnessed the Republic turn into the Empire, survived a war, lost family and friends to death or hardship, Delova has found her place to help make peace with any who seem to struggle with it. Resilient to the end, she sometimes tends to find herself always wanting to “be the hero”, fixing things and situations between people. Her faith in the Tyia religion, something she built on later in life, helps her to continually better herself in such regards. She remains very interested in other religions, and enjoys talking about such things—being very open minded-but remains ever loyal to her personal beliefs of Tyia and spirituality. She is an easy listener, and a woman of meaningful words and wisdom. At times she has a sense of humor, if but sometimes dry. During her life of travel many have come to her for advice and her window-looking-in perspective. She’s been know to have put people in their place in the most gentle of ways, with the most gentle of words. She holds herself to high standards and high dignity. If anyone is to trust someone, she’d hope to take such a role.
Still traveling, she can sometimes find herself in rather dank or eerie places. When once youth was there to provide Delova with her own protection, age keeps her from being too defensive. However, she isn’t easily taken advantage of nor will she be taken for a fool. Her handbag has been put to use minimal times on some lanky thug attempting to take something from her. She is usually good at not putting herself in such situations, taking mind to put herself in safer areas. Sometimes, however, it isn’t much of a choice, especially if traveling with a group.
Delova loves people. She loves being around people, especially younger folk. She enjoys learning of all the new things and tries to adapt to the ever changing universe. She has a great capacity to understand and to forgive. Every now and again she tends to ramble on, especially on subjects she is passionate about, like spirituality. Perhaps a flaw in others eyes, however the Wroonian is set in her ways and will probably never change in that regard.
Not too judgmental, it is easy for the Wroonian to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. She has a way with words and with making people feel oddly comfortable in her presence…as if she were an older relative of theirs. It isn’t unlikely to find her chatting with a scoundrel type in a cantina somewhere, but Delova also tries to be aware of those that may mean to cause trouble. One too many times has she found herself missing some credits. And one too many times has someone found the side of her bag ramming into their head, before promptly being prodded with her electro-jabber.
Delova has a very high tolerance for…anything. She’s only lost her temper a handful of times, and most of those incidents were when she was much younger. A calm aura surrounds her, keeps her at peace, even in times of urgency. It isn’t often when she has to use a stern voice, but she is not afraid to do so if the time arises. The only person truly capable of getting under her skin as of yet is her younger brother, Bortal. She is, however, a very picky eater. It isn’t unusual for her to, in her own gentle way, complain about food. Delova is very fluent in Durese and Bocce due to her constant space travel, and Cheunh (her son-in-law is Chiss). She can catch meaning in the Huttese language from her early years, but has yet to really study the language what with the incident on Tatooine.

Appearance

Aged and slightly plump, but well maintained for her age. Other: As with her race, Delova is blue skinned with yellow irises. Her culture is very spiritual as well as fun loving, and like those from Wroona, tattoos are adorned on her face and other various parts of her body. A diamond shaped tattoo rests just above her brow line, as well as tattoos under her eyes at the top of her cheek bone. Although Delova has seen many years, the Wroonian lives as if she were at least 20 years her younger. While very cultural, Delova is still rather traditional when it comes to appearance. She’s been many places in her years, but continues to adorn herself in traditional ornate clothing popular in Wroona.
