Personality: Most of Jeka is a collection of opposites. She possesses strong leadership qualities and works well with others, but does not like to call attention to herself and is quiet around strangers. She celebrates the successes of others, but she can also be fiercely competitive. She is very goal oriented and likes to follow specific directions. Despite her love of order she hates being given orders and is stubborn to a fault. Even after realizing that she is wrong in an argument she will continue to argue her incorrect point. Jeka can be a very emotional persona and becomes very attached to people, but when it comes to physical pain, she shows no reactions. Even at an early age, she refused to cry when hurt. Her mother was relieved when it was clear that this policy did not apply to emotional pain. Jeka is a very open person and when her father died she talked about it at length with anyone that would listen. Belongings: Her father’s DL-44 blaster never leaves her side along with a vibroknife that her mother gave to after her father was killed by “smugglers.” She used the vibroknife to carve his name into the handle.
History:
Jeka was born on June 23rd, 23 BtP on one of the orbiting cities surrounding Duro. Her parents were well-off and she grew up sheltered from the ugliness of orbiting cities. Their apartment had two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen/dining room in contrast to the one room apartments that most inhabitants of the cities lived in. She had a private tutor that gave a good education that she still uses to this day. Her parent’s were very concerned with her physical health because of the lack of “play space” so they also provided her with a trainer. It started as just learning various ways to strengthen her body and stay in shape but thanks to her stubbornness it evolved in weapons training as well.
Jeka’s life changed drastically when her father was killed by supposed traveling smugglers when she was seventeen years old. Both her and her Miodia had always known that he had a gambling problem that had cost him before, but this time it cost him his life. Despite their wealth he was unable to three men and was killed in the family’s doorway when they came to collect the money. Jeka watched the act and saw the dark circle with designs around in tattooed on their dirty skin. The image had been burned into her memory. Miodia had said that they were standard smugglers that liked to gamble. Jeka knew that they were Black Sun. She did not know why her father had attracted the attention of the crime organization, and she did not really care. All she cared about was making someone pay for his death. She did take a reckless oath of vengeance, but decided that she would have a new goal: destroying Black Sun. Not only did her family lose their father that year, but her family also lost their wealth. Miodia had never worked before and was not able to even secure Jeka and herself a one-room apartment to live in. Jeka knew that she had to take the part of provider for her mother and herself. She got a job at the starship construction facilities. Her good people skills got a job in their public relations department even though she was still a minor. She worked hard and made friend with many of the corporation’s clients. She continued working there until she had saved enough credits for Miodia to live out the rest of her life in comfort. At age twenty-one she was offered a position on one of her friend’s ship. She spent two and a half years learning how to copilot the ship and perfecting her skills as a diplomat. She also realized that although she never wanted to become a politician, it did not hurt to have some of their skills.
After the two and half years spent traveling the galaxy, Jeka decided that it was time she started working on her goal. The Purge came, affecting Jeka little. She had never met a Jedi, and all she knew about them had been learned from her tutor. She only thought that they were killing each other off. This changed when the ship she had recently bought passage on decided to smuggle a Jedi off of the planet of Kuat. Jeka was able to learn from the Jedi what was truly going on. Unfortunately Jeka’s ship was ambushed when they landed on a planet to obtain repair parts from a skirmish they had had. Jeka was the only one that survived. After seeing the heartless massacre of the ship’s crew, she decided that she would devote herself not only to the destruction of Black Sun but also to the Republic. On that day, she became a Rebel.

Name: Trsh Kuttrin Age: 37 Relation: Deceased captain and owner of the ship that was destroyed in the ambush on Balmorra. Description: Trsh was a male human that was dedicated to rescuing the Jedi. He was a tall man with broad shoulders and was not someone that an ordinary person would pick a fight with. He was easygoing and Jeka looked up to him like an older brother for the short time that she knew him. Together with the Jedi Knight Karke Orray they had made plans to join the Rebellion and to save as many other Jedi as they could. Trsh was somewhat of an idealist and his easy-to-win trust was what destroyed him in the end.

Personality:
Karke is a relatively easy-going individual, quick to be accepting of ways and ideas that aren't necessarily his own, in the spirit of the Jedi notions of tolerance of others. As a result, he can be quite a diplomatic individual, since he can easily recognise the elements that separate conflicting groups, and find the middle ground through simple diplomatic compromise. Given how prolonged and fiery such situations can be, Karke is also an extremely patient man, more than capable of keeping his temper in check for long periods of time, thus earning him a reputation as a calm, impartial mediator that has subsequently led to many successful diplomatic missions on behalf of the Order.
He is also possessed of a gentle sense of humour, one reliant less on sarcasm and irony than upon a simple wit that fits perfectly with his general manner, since it does little to disrupt his general inner-tranquility and strength of will. He is, however, also known to be extremely stubborn, but weathers this out with a more relaxed approach, so that when he does stand his ground on an issue, he can do so without being particularly confrontational.
Belongings:
As with many Jedi, Karke relies primarily on the resources of the Jedi Order to fulfil any particular needs he has - food, clothing etc. His main possession, therefore, is the lightsaber he constructed as a Padawan, which possesses a green blade from the use of an Adegan crystal obtained on the planet Ilum.
He also has possession of a small diplomatic ship made exclusively for the Jedi Order, designed for two-person transport, so he could use a ship that was sufficiently armed for his own protection, but that wasn't large enough or designed in such a way so as to be threatening to others - thus giving the appearance of strength without being suggestive of potential aggression.

Brief History:
Karke was born on Kuat, and was accepted by the Jedi Order as a potential Jedi, having been found as Force Sensitive at the age of 2 years old. Training on Coruscant until the age of 11, he was eventually accepted as a Padawan to a Jedi Knight serving in the diplomatic corps of the Order. This led him to develop similar tendencies to his Master, eventually becoming something of a diplomatic force in his own right. His mediation of a trade dispute between the governments of Sluis Van and the nearby world of Virmeude led him to be elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight, given that the crisis had been bordering upon an armed conflict for control of a trade contract being offered by the Old Republic for the formation of a large-scale trading station along the Rimma Trade Route.
As a Jedi Knight, Karke also joined the diplomatic corps, in order to continue the work he had started as a Padawan. However, as a result of the increasing number of disputes requiring Jedi mediation at the time, the Jedi Knight had not taken a Padawan prior to the Purge. The details of his own whereabouts following that period are unknown.
