Description/History
Kuat, located in the Kuat sector in the most densely-populated section of the galaxy, is the location of the massive Kuat Drive Yards starship construction facility. These famous shipyards circle the planet for thousands of miles.
This temperate world is the home world of the native Kuati who terraformed and settled the planet thousands of years ago. Turning the planet into a prosperous world through artificial means, they then set out to construct enormous shipyards in its orbit. Three stellar trade stations in the planetary orbit have fueled trade and tourist activity on and above the planet.
One has been the central hub to visitors from around the galaxy, while another has been a key checkpoint for the transport of precious materials and valuable cargo. Lush jungles cover much of the planet, while a vast ocean has created numerous trade opportunities.
Many cities have sprung up along its shores, making water travel just as important to the industry as surface to orbit trade. Forests and marshlands virtually void of predators lie to the south of the ocean, adding to its rich serenity.
Endless star docks encircle the system like a metallic corona, dwarfing the small green planet. Billions of beings are employed in the space surrounding Kuat, but almost none of them ever set foot on the terra formed world itself, with its manicured gardens and docile animals (including the drebin which are herbivores that provide compost for the native gardens). Three colossal space stations (one for passengers, one for commercial freights, and one for the Imperial military) handle all arrivals and departures and keep out any unwanted visitors.

Kuat Drive Yards Orbital Array The heart and soul of Kuat reside in the massive Orbital Array that orbits the planet of Kuat. Visitors can find bars, hotels, restaurants, shops, medical facilities, and entertainment. Most Kuati live in apartment complexes built into the ring. Kuati Security Forces patrol all areas within the Yards. Many offworlders remain in the ring during their visit, never smelling fresh Kuati air during their entire stay. As one would expect, the Yards have weapons system to defend against raiders and other smaller ships, although they lack the ability to take on Star Destroyers or Nebulon-B Cruisers.
