Ord Cantrell is an Outer Rim planet. It was originally a Regional Depot under the Republic. It is also one of the Galaxy's most exclusive resorts.

The geography of the planet reflected its status as a resort world. So much so that very little in the way of residential housing could be had on the surface of the planet. Instead, the working class were housed on space stations that orbited with the dark side of the planet, keeping it from being visible by tourists. The workers were ferried in via large transports that ran several time per day.

There were four main segments of the planet, all primarily indicative of the various types of entertainment that could be found within. One section was primarily amusement parks, and other family related entertainments. Another was crafted strictly of more adult fare, gambling halls, strip clubs, night clubs, and other adult theme shows and entertainment. The third segment was primarily unfettered beach and other nature loving areas and camps.

History

Centuries ago the planet of Ord Cantrell was settled by a land baron from Aduba III. He saw the land as a prime spot to get away from the rigors of the galaxy and relax. Over the ensuing hundred years the planet became just that, the resort of all resorts in the galaxy.

In time two distinct class systems evolved. A ruling class, made up of land and property owners, and a working class made up of the citizens who provided labor in the theme parks, hotels, casinos, and other vacation and entertainment establishments.

The ruling class kept the planet non-aligned, electing not to join the Republic as it grew, and likewise avoiding the Empire upon it's birth, though it does maintain a peaceful relationship with Josdon and his government.

The Working Class

The Working class, also known as the Workers Guild, was lead by family man Yerl Omistaw, a staunch religious zealot who believed he was on a mission from God to bring equity between the two classes of Ord Cantrell.

The Worker's Guild was populated by those who staffed the various resorts and entertainment locations on Ord Cantrell.

The Ruling Class

The Ruling Class of Ord Cantrell is lead by Trella Argio. The primary focus of the ruling class was the expansion of funds to the planet, and thus their own coffers. Hedonism, profit, and debauchery were the order of the day for many members of the ruling class.

A family was typically elected once every four years by members of the ruling class, which was defined as all land owners on the planet. The sale of land on the planet was strictly controlled by the ruling class and before a sale would be approved, a rigorous application process was required to ensure the new purchaser was of the standards the ruling class wished. Typically land was passed down generation after generation. Inheritance, by blood, was the only way to gain entry into the ruling class without a vote.
