Personality

Remus is the "Never Quit" type officer. Determination is his strongpoint, even when the odds are completely against him. He is a proud man, because of it, and his ambition keeps him rising through the ranks, and emerging from the battlefield flying his nations colors proudly. Remus treats everyone as equals, and tells his inferiors "I am not higher than you. You are not serving under me, you are serving WITH me. Respect my command, for you have my respect as my crew." All those under his command follow him anywhere, everywhere for anything.

History

Remus Wanobi was born into a long line of Republic Officers, and was destined to be a Captain of a ship. Remus was born on Kuat. He attended grade school, was an average student, no tragedies, no blatant rebellious tendancies or dramatic relationships. His life was pretty even and stable. He attended advanced education and got his degree in speech and communication. Shortly thereafter he signed up for the Republic Navy and immedietly went through the Republic Academy on Carida. While there, he had military protocols drilled into his mind and excelled in Officer Candidate School, much like the rest of his family. He graduated from the Academy at the rank of Ensign and assigned to a Republic warship with minimal duties.

From there, Remus only dreamed of commanding his own ship. Since all the duties he was given had allowed him time to dream about it. Remus got his break as Operations officer as his first post on the Bridge of a Military Vessel. He was most successful at this post, due to his ability to communicate thoroughly. He served well for several years as Operations officer until he gained the rank of Commander, at which point he was immediately chosen for the First Officer of the ship. He enjoyed this position and served wel until the ship went out of commission when he reached the age of thirty-eight. From there, he was nominated to captain a newly commissioned Dreadnaught-class ship, the DNT Dauntless. When Remus was in his mid-fifties, he lead a short campaign against small-time pirates in the mid-rim. During one of the battles, a small distance away from Corulag, the Dauntless sustained severe damage and Remus' right leg was broken.

Remus was decommissioned from command for five years. During this time, he did his best to recover and after his recovery, He tried and tried again to be recommissioned as a ship captain, only to be stonewalled by Republic Command. He spent much time writing speeches for the senator of Kuat, until a shady deal was made. However, this shady deal paid off for the handi-capped officer when the Senator sent in his word to waiver the handi-cap.

Remus was recommissioned and assigned to a battleship, where he performed just as well as he did five years prior. As Captain of the RAS Guile in the outer-rim fleet, Remus was given a mission to very edge of the galaxy, to support a planetary fleet on a planet in a Civil War, that would decide if the planet would join the Republic. During this time, he met Catherine Anarki, a woman he would later marry. Catherines daughter Khatana would also later be commissioned to serve on his ship. He gained the rank of Admiral and now at age 62, he commands a fleet of Star Destroyers, aboard the ship the RAS Guile.
