The Sinister Six. A name of some infamy in throughout the Galaxy. To some they were harbingers of change and a new chance, but to most they were synonymous with the downfall of the Republic. Teaming with Edwis Josdon the Sinister Six worked to overtake a Republic Senate that was rife with corruption and greed.

History
The group known as the Sinister Six are a handful of corrupt Republic senators hand picked by Black Sun leader Edwis Josdon to act as his eyes and ears in the Republic Senate in return for financial gain.
Born on Dathomir, Josdon escaped and involuntarily joined the Black Sun at a young age. Working his way up through the ranks, the young man soon developed a taste for power, and didn't halt his ascent until he had reached the pinnacle -the leader of the Black Sun. However, the criminal underworld proved to be not enough for his power lust, and Josdon set his sights on controlling the legitimate half of the Galaxy as well.
The first step on his ladder to success was the Byss senator Yeryn Erall. Knowing that if he could control the Senate then the Galaxy would be his, Edwis arranged for Erall to receive a portion of the Spice trade profits on his own planet in return for his vote. As other corrupt senators noted Erall's new improved lifestyle, they began to seek similar deals for themselves. Josdon found himself in a position to pick and choose those who would be his links to the Senate. Opting for those who would provide him with the most financial and political returns, Josdon added Senators Tresda Florbal from Kuat, Sora Sone from Ord Mantell, Garson Ryte from Eriadu, Neshkin Emura from Bpfassh and Ren Zuits from Annaj to round out the six members of his elite group.
Using his six senators to sway the laws and bills passed, and coerce smaller planets into deals that would benefit his own pocket, Josdon found himself moving up in the legitimate world. Any questions about the situation behind the sudden wealth of the Sinister Six were quickly dealt to by bribery or violence. The future was looking ripe for Josdon, the senate ripe for the taking.
The few uncorrupt members of the Republic Senate weren't satisfied by the findings of repeated committes sent to investigate the situation. Led by the Bakuran senator Nila Wyn, the small group decided to stage a covert investigation of their own, aided by the Jedi. The results of the investigation were far from what Edwis Josdon wanted to be made public. Using his Six, Josdon turned suspicion from his own activities and that of the Dark Jedi, to those of the Jedi. Careful publicity morphed the peaceful image of the Jedi into one of control and terror.
As mass hysteria spread and Jedi became public enemies, the Jedi council crumbles and with it the last opposition in the senate to the Sinister Six. Stepping forward, they took control of the Republic Senate, preparing it for the arrival of Edwis Josdon. Claiming the title of Emperor, Josdon crafted the pieces of the crumbles Senate into something he could use to further his cause. Supported by the Sinister Six, Josdon has achieved his goal, finding himself in control of the newly created Empire.
Members
Sora Sone
Sora Sone joined the Republic Senate with good intentions, and dreams to change the evry accurare perception of Ord Mantell as a drug-ridden, poverty stricken planet -a situation that hadn't been helped by her senator father, a spice addict himself. Many long months of fighting a lonely and futile uphill battle for anything to be done to make life better for the people of her homeworld transformed Sora from an idealistic fresh-faced senator to something mirroring the rest of the Senate -cynical and only looking to increase her pocket. When the chance to go in league with Black Sun came along, she jumped at the chance. She knew better things lay ahead for the galaxy with a change in the current structure.
Garson Ryte
Garson Ryte was young and ambitious senator, and the fourth senator to accept Josdon's deal. The Ryte family was a highly influential group on the polluted and densely crowded planet of Eriadu, due to Moira Destat-Ryte's senatorship and Enron Ryte's successful weapons manufacturing business. Choosing not to take over the family business, Garson instead followed a military career, returning home only to take over his mother's role as Senator of Eriadu on her death. It was while in this role that his opposition to many decisions made by the Republic attracted the attention of Edwis Josdon. By accepting the offer he thought he would place himself in league with power brokers and the elite of the galaxy, a view that proved to be a very accurate assumption.
Tresda Florbal
The 42 year old senator from Kuat brought with him to the Sinister Six his strong connections to the Kuat Drive Yards, the premiere ship building company in the galaxy, a connection Josdon was more than happy to take advantage of. Tresda Florbal was not suprisingly one of the more intelligent members of the Galactic Senate and saw in Edwis Josdon the future of the galaxy, united under the leadership of one powerful and charismatic man.
Yeryn Erall
The first senator to join the Sinister Six, Yeryn Erall is tall and noble looking, verging on arrogant in appearance. Hailing from the Deep Core planet of Byss, he is a staunch supporter of the Empire, no small thanks to the generous deal arranged for him by Josdon. The oldest and thus most experienced of the six senators, Erall had become senator for his planet at a young age at the urgings of his ambitious 'old money' family, who planned to have political power to back their significant bank accounts. He was wise to the intimate runnings of the Republic Senate and as such was a major factor in determining exactly who would prove the most useful to their cause, who to control or eliminate from the scene completely.
Ren Zuits
Although he had had a long and unremarkable senatorial career, Ren Zuits was one of the members of the Sinister Six who truly believed that Josdon was the means to a better future for their Galaxy. He had experienced first hand the failings and corruption in the Senate and has aspirations as being remembered as one of the few to seek a better life in the Empire of the future. Although he has genuine misgivings about some of the more violent methods used to achieve their ends, Zuits has faith in the leadership of their chosen Emperor and intends to follow him to whatever end.
Neshkin Emura
Neshkin Emura was one of the last members to join the Sinister Six. Like Ren Zuits, he too had an unremarkable history on the Senate and was acutely aware that his future career was likely to follow along this pattern. To Emura, Josdon's offer was a means to a glorious end, and the paypacket that came with the job was an excellent bonus.
Additional Information
The Six had something in common, many of them had previous ties and whether or not Josdon was aware it is certain the characteristics among them are no coincidence. Among them are titans of industry in particular ship-orientated men, as well those with military histories, and all share a common thread in the sense that they rose from obscurity and used will and hard work to achieve their current status. Though of unscrupulous backgrounds and using questionable means in some cases they are strong-minded individuals with deep pockets and loose morals.
