Sora Sone
From An Evolution in RP :: Database
Sora Sone's history is mired by tragedy. Her father was a spice addict and mother was rarely around. Sora became determined to change her life and to prevent a similar problem occurring in the lives of others. After graduation from school she started a career in holojournalism, determined to expose the corrupt ways of Ord Mantell to the Republic in order to spur change. However her award winning career of article after article on the corrupt ruling class, criminal trade, and police force on Ord Mantell was short lived when she changed her tactics from exposing the corruption to wanting to actually change it. She took up a profession in politics. After a journalist career spanning almost a decade, she became aid to head of the Ruling Class Griff Argio and advised him on both political and social matters plaguing the planet. In her early thirties she briefly served as junior senator and shortly after was elected Senator of her homeworld.
No armed with the knowledge and ability to make a difference -- or so she thought -- she marched wide-eyed into the Senate floor demanding change. Using her own semi-celebrity status as a holodocumentarian and journalist she boosted support for the world, but was soon swept up in the ceaseless bureaucracy of the Republic Senate. After being fillibusted and pushed aside by corrupt senators benefiting from the crime trade on Ord Mantell she quickly changed her tune.
Sora herself had gotten greedy, and despite a seething hatred for the ruling class never refused a contribution from their seemingly endless credit reserves. Becoming pseudo-friendly with Trella Argio just prior to her announcement as new head of the Ruling Class was particularly difficult for the senator who greatly despised the woman. However she knew how to play the game well at this point and also had strong ties with Yerl Omistaw by this time. Morally bankrupt she pushed through bills in the senate that brought more money to Ruling Class and took pleasure in weeding out many addicted spice users whom she also had a deep dislike for. This morally pliability led her to Edwis Josdon who made her one of his Sinister Six.
Sora was the almost the last to join, the first being Yeryn Erall, followed closely by Tresda Florbal, Garson Ryte, then Neshkin Emura, then Sora before Ren Zuits, who was the most reluctant and final to join.
