Personality: He likes having fun. Usually with games, jokes, and general hull-a-bah-loo. But usually, it is a front. On the inside, his is torn, and guilt ridden. He is afraid of anything that appears slimy, wet, or looks like a small bug in anyway. He seems to think to low of himself at times, often making it seem as if he could not live up to his own, or anyone's expectations. Though, he is closed off at times, usually not wanting to talk about his personal life or his feelings much, he is generally a nice, and caring guy. He'll give you the shirt on his back, as well as draw Imperial Star fighters off your tail, using himself as bait. Never one to back down from a fight, even if he knows the odds are against him.
History: Born into a normal family, Technosity was the only child of his mother and father. They were humans on the planet Kinyen, they were a small family that migrated a lot, moving from tatooine so they might be a part of the republic. They never had much, but he always made do. He made toys out of spare parts, or recycled materials. At the age of ten, he showed a natural skill for marksmen ship, when he knocked a rock off of a cliff, from two hundred yards away, with his 'blaster'. At first, he thought it would be just a small rock of the surface of the cliff, but he was wrong, it was a smaller stone, in a wall of stones, that held up many stones. With the wall breached, the landslide had came. A toy, he made out of decommissioned weapon parts and the ammo he used, was rocks. But unfortunately for him one of his friends was in the valley below, and the resulting land slide killed him. Though the authorities called it a natural death, Technosity knew exactly why he died, and who's fault it was. He carries the guilt, and has never told a soul of it. For fear, that others might look upon him differently. But instead, he hides under his front. He was always known as a happy boy, no matter the circumstances. He had fooled everyone, including his parents. They did not suspect that he was the cause of the landslide, or the deep guilt and depression he hid behind his wide, toothy smile.
To help keep his guilt at bay, Technosity tried to pour every fiber of his being into anything. And, almost everything. At the age of twelve, is when it became apparent. He wanted to be a mechanic, a Technician to all sorts of ships and technologies. He started off by fixing his parents vehicles and farming equipment when they broke down. His father, a kind but strict man, saw his son's talents. And began to lend him to the other farmers, with a nominal charge of course. Technosity happily worked on the incoming equipment and vehicles. Though most of them were out-dated and old, it still was a glorifying experience to work on them. He learned a lot about the technology his parents, and their friends used, along with the farms that surrounded his own family's farm. Soon enough, after a few months, he could have worked on most of the old farm equipment without a thought. He didn't care that his parents were making money off of him, in fact, he was glad they were. It gave him a sense of pride and accomplishment. Plus, it was something that he loved doing.
Though, unknown to Technosity, his parents had taken a longer, and more thoughtful approach to their son's talent, and skill. They saved the money they could, stowing it away. Maybe it would help for college, or to further his own education. Or maybe even get him off this planet, which was something they both knew their son wanted to do. The years went by, and although he was not the very best, or even close to being the best mechanic, he was one of the cheapest, and most dependable. Soon, Technosity had started working on more advanced Technology. By the age of eighteen he had worked on many types of farm equipment, and vehicles. His favorite, being a speedster model, SoroSuub X-31 model. Though it was an older model, and in poor shape, he had decided to buy it from the old farming couple. They gladly accept his offer, which in no way was generous, mainly because they could not afford to pay for repairs.
This was his first project that he had taken such an interest in. His parents had never saw their son with so much determination and drive in his spirit. This speeder, had become his obsession, wanting to fix it, and make it more modern. He doubled his work on repairing farming equipment, speeders, and vehicles. Just to make the money he needed to buy the parts and tools he needed. The whole time he had waited, he had busied himself with working on the body of the speeder. Two years, and a lot of hard work later, the speeder's body was now in almost perfect condition, other then the paneling of his repair work. But, through the summer days and nights, it wasn't an unusual sight to see Technosity buried deep within the belly of the machine. Which is how, other then being a shortened version of his name, he had gotten the nick name Tech. Another six months, and he was done. The joy on his face, was apparent, and through his own work, he had learned to forgive his past, his mistake, but he still would not tell a soul.
Technosity set out for the initial flight test. He started up the speeder and checked all his read-outs, all looked good and everything was up to optimum power levels. Then, he began to push the accelerator, and the Speedster lurched forward for a bit, but after a few hundred feet, the power went out, and smoke arouse from the Speedster. Quickly, he jumped out of the smoldering ship, and ran as far away as he could. Technosity didn't know if it was going to explode, but he decided it would be safer not to stick around and find out. After a few hours, the smoke died down, and he hauled the speeder back to the barn. He could not find his mistake, nothing seemed to be wrong, and that frustrated Technosity to no end. He sighed, as he covered the speeder with a tarp. That was when his parents had told him of the savings they had. At first, Technosity did not want to leave his parents behind, not even to further his skills as a technician and mechanic. But, they had convinced him, that not only did he earn enough to go to school, but they would have enough left over to hire a hand or two around the farm.
So at the age of twenty, and with a sad wave, Technosity boarded a ship for the University of Corellia. They had all three agreed on that University, because of the Star Ship engineering. Something they knew, would be a good field of study, since most of the republic depended on Star Ship transports. But Technosity would be lying if he said he wasn't scared. This was his first time away from home, and he would be so far away, that it scared him. Not to mention, that space travel was cold, and lonely to him. He studied at the University of Corellia for five years, and practiced his work in small shops around the campus. He graduated, with no honors, and was regarded as an average student. Usually garnering average, or slightly better then average grades. Though, he had no social life, or at least not a big one during schooling. He mainly occupied himself with improving his skills.
He enlisted under the employ of the Republic when he was twenty-eight. He had spent three years, traveling abroad and working in different repair shops, to get a better grasp on the various technologies scattered through out the galaxy. He never made much of an impact in his time employed by the Republic, but through his work and his effort, he became a chief mechanic on the planet Alderaan by the age of thirty. Though, not a position of much adventure or interest, he had established himself as a man who took his work seriously. Again, through his concentrated devotion his field of work, his social life took a back seat. Many tried to befriend the smiling mechanic, but they always seemed to fall short of their task. It wasn't that Technosity didn't like them, it was that he felt he needed to concentrate on his work, and improving his skills further.
Three years, he had worked in the Republic's employ. There was nothing special about his life, or about his job, other then his life centered around his job. The change in the governing body did not worry him. In fact, he was sure that he would get a promotion from the newly formed Galactic Empire. But, on the day that he was to be reviewed for a promotion, he was fired. This came as a shock to Technosity. So willingly had his new employers fired him, without even a thought, or a care about his past record, his dedication, and the fact that he had almost turned his whole life over to being a mechanic and technician. Now unemployed, and angry over the fact, that they had not even given him a chance, he left Alderaan. With the hate, growing inside of his heart. Working on ships, and repairing them was his passion, his life, the only thing that made him forget his past. The Empire had stripped him of that pass time. Sure, he thought, he could have started his own shop, and pray that people would go there to get repairs, but there would never be as much work as their would have been, working for the Empire, or would it not compare to the amount of work he had working for the former Republic.
For a year, he traveled from planet to planet. Working in small shops, and repairing ships on the go to make money. He didn't do much in this year, other then brood on his growing hate, and distaste for the new Empire. Many people, were starting to slowly loose their jobs to people who the Empire deemed, more qualified. Though, the Empire was in it's beginning, Technosity could see, that many jobs, might be lost to their mindless drones, or at least, that's how he saw things. Technosity, was not the least bit shy about his views on the Empire, and shared it with anyone who would listen. He had made a stay on the planet of Nar Shaddaa, and things in his life were about to change. Technosity was leaving the shop that day, when a tall man approached him with a job. Little did Technosity know, this man was part of an ever growing Alliance to the Empire. He had never heard of the alliance, and on the way to a remote location, the man began to speak of people gathering, and organizing against the empire. This man, this stranger, seemed to hold the same views as Technosity, and without a second chance, he offered his services to the Alliance. At the age of thirty-four, and now a new member of the Alliance Cell on Nar Shaddaa, Technosity was a rebel. But the Empire did not know that, and they wouldn't, he presumed, for some time. Not until, his leaders had said it was time to strike.
NPC: He has two droids, a C-3PO type model, who he has named Parlah, for her female voice. And a helper droid, much like an astro-droid, only not suited for space travel, or repairs of any kind. Named UNIT. They were gifts from his parents, when he reached adult hood. They said, that if he was to leave, he would need someone to look after him, since they had decided he would travel to Corellia to study Engineering.
Possessions: He owns, a black tunic, with an armored shoulder pad on each side. His black slacks, many belts, usually filled to the brim with smaller tools, for on the go repairs. He owns a communicator, which he clips to his belt. Other then that, the only other things he owns are his droids. He hasn't purchases a star ship, because he's saving up his money, and usually, he travels with other people anyway.
